Acting for Adults: Improvisation – 8 Week Course Block
This 8-week block is designed to help adults grow in confidence, creativity, and spontaneity through the power of improvisation. In a relaxed and supportive environment, you’ll learn to think on your feet, trust your instincts, and enjoy the freedom that comes from unscripted performance.
Over the eight weeks, we’ll explore:
The foundations of improvisation, including listening, reacting, and staying present in the moment
Confidence-building games that encourage quick thinking and self-expression
Creating characters on the spot using voice, body language, and imagination
Developing storytelling skills through group scenes and guided exercises
Learning to accept ideas and build on them using “yes, and” techniques
Exploring emotion, status, and relationships within improvised scenes
Strengthening vocal delivery and physical awareness
Working together as an ensemble to create fun, engaging performances
