About Greenwood Primary Wraparound
3 - 11yrs
Our wraparound care provision, integrated into the school runs from 15:15-18:00 Monday through Friday.
Though each week there is a structured theme, we believe in a child centred approach on the day to maximise enjoyment, participation and learning through play. However the rough structure is as follows:
3.15 - 4.15pm - we will have a mix of arts and crafts, construction challenges and supervised free play with encouraged games, activities with a mix of sports linked to the weeks theme.
4.15 - 4.30pm - A snack is provided of a fruit portion (consisting of the child's choice between grapes, apples, oranges and bananas and possibly one "guest fruit" a week) and one snack portion (consisting of wraps, bread/toast, crackers with jam, butter, cheese or honey).
4.30-5.30pm - A mix of structured sports, skills, drills, mini-games and activities.
5.30pm-6pm - Free play and collection.
