EngineerED Labs are hands-on engineering experiences where young people design, build, test and improve real projects while developing creativity, confidence and practical problem-solving skills. Each six-week lab explores a different engineering challenge inspired by real life. Participants investigate how things work, use professional tools and technology, and learn through making, experimenting and teamwork. This Lab: Skateboard EngineeringExplore the engineering behind one of the world's most iconic designs. Take a skateboard apart to discover how it works, then design your own miniature skateboard using CAD software and bring it to life with a 3D printer. Along the way, you'll investigate forces, materials and mechanics while thinking like a real engineer. No previous experience is needed, just curiosity and a willingness to have a go.
