About Phonics with Robot Reg Class - Yeadon
2 - 4yrs
Our Pre-school classes (age 2-4), provide children with a fun introduction to letters and sounds through the use of our cheeky little mascot Robot Reg.
Through play and carefully planned activities, Robot Reg uses his ‘robot voice’ to sound out simple CVC words (consonant, vowel, consonant words, e.g r-u-n, run!). This way, children are taught the skill of oral segmenting and blending, which is perfect for getting them school ready for when the time comes.
This class combines music, movement, games and role play all encouraging early and pre reading skills. Our classes are a high energy way to get your child excited about reading and writing.
Many activities are tailored to include the development of fine and gross motors skills, helping to get little fingers ready for zipping up coats, snipping, threading, mark making and eventually handwriting.

What you need to bring
Pre-schoolers will need a small ball of play dough for 'Reg's Rave'. This can be brought from home, or you can buy a little pot from me, in class for 50p.
