Welcome to Phonics with Robot Reg (Sutton Coldfield & North Birmingham), named one of the UK’s Top 100 Children’s Activity Providers! Our expert-led, EYFS-aligned classes give future school starters a confident head start in early literacy through high-energy, multisensory play.
Advanced Early Literacy Skills: We introduce letter sounds using catchy songs, actions, and games. With our cheeky mascot, Robot Reg, children master oral blending and segmenting—the core decoding foundations for reading—using our "Robot Arms".
Pre-Writing & Core Muscle Mechanics: Writing starts in the shoulders, not just the fingers. To write well, children first need big muscle control. Swinging large scarves and waving pompoms builds vital shoulder strength and arm stability. Once those big joints are strong, squeezing and rolling playdough during Reg’s Rave builds fine motor finger strength needed to grip a pencil, essential for future handwriting.

Things to know
What you need to bring
All you need to bring is yourself and your little one. Siblings are very welcome. Please keep snacks off the mats and for the end of the session due to some children having allergies.
What we provide
I supply everything you will need for the session, this can include dance scarves, ribbons, pom poms, playdough, funky glasses, headbands, leis, instruments, flashcards, games and of course Robot Reg.
