About Summer Holiday Camp - Science Explorer! Week E
5 - 11yrs
Science Explorer is a 5-day science adventure packed with 40+ hands-on activities, exciting experiments, demos, team games, quizzes and outdoor activity breaks.
Day 1: Mystery & Mini Monsters focuses on viruses, chromatography and forensic science. Activities include making virus models, revealing hidden pen colours and solving a crime using fingerprints and clues.
Day 2: Whole Wide World explores space, magnetism, compasses and pendulums. Children make solar system mobiles, floating compasses and magnetic fishing rods.
Day 3: Wave Motion investigates wind, waves, storms and electricity. Activities include plasma ball experiments, tornado science, wind indicators and wave cannons.
Day 4: Light and Lenses explores reflection, refraction, animation and circuits. Children make bug viewers, thaumatropes, electrical circuits and periscopes.
Day 5: Elemental Magic focuses on animal adaptations, greenhouse gases, plant growth and slime. Activities include camouflage butterflies and super slime!
