About Home Educators Engineering Lab – Ages 7–12

Calling all young engineers, inventors and problem-solvers! Join us at the Kidwise STEM & VR Innovation Lab in Woking for our hands-on Home Educators Engineering Lab, designed for children aged 7–12.
Each week, children will tackle a new engineering challenge using the process: Explore → Design → Build → Test → Improve. They’ll develop their own ideas, build prototypes, test their creations and discover how engineers improve designs through experimentation.
Across the programme, children will explore bridge building, earthquake-proof structures, balloon-powered cars, hydraulics, marble rollercoasters, boats, catapults, electrical engineering and robotics, using our engineering table, tools and STEM equipment.
Sessions develop problem-solving, creativity, practical skills, teamwork and confidence while exploring forces, structures, mechanisms and materials.
Thursdays 11:00–12:30 | Ages 7–12 | £10 per child | Starting 17 September.

What you need to bring
Please bring a named water bottle. Children should wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes suitable for practical activities.
What we provide
This is a structured 90-minute educational session. Activities involving tools or engineering equipment will be closely supervised by the Kidwise team. Places are limited due to the practical nature
