About Gainsborough Musical Theatre Juniors
6 - 12yrs
At Echo Theatre, we believe musical theatre performers are actors first and foremost. Our Junior training focuses on building "the Musical Theatre actor" by combining vocal technique with true storytelling. We move away from just "singing a song" and instead teach our students how to create believable characters and own their performance with conviction.
In this class, our students develop:
Vocal Confidence: Learning to use their voice safely and effectively.
Character Interpretation: Bringing meaning and acting to every lyric.
Performance Presence: Gaining the skills to "own a song" and connect with an audience.
The Performance Commitment
Performance is at the heart of our school. Joining this class means committing to performing with us twice a year. We are more than happy to work with students who are still building their confidence to get on stage, but being part of our shows is a requirement of the class.
