About Grade 5 Ballet Pointe Class
12 - 18yrs+
Our Pointe Class is designed for dancers aged 12+ who are in the grade 5 ballet class who have demonstrated strong technical ability, control and progression in their ballet training.
Students are carefully assessed by our teachers in both their regular ballet classes and pre-pointe training to ensure they are physically ready and strong enough to begin pointe work safely.
This class focuses on building solid foundations, starting with essential exercises at the barre such as rises, strengthening and alignment work. As students develop confidence, strength and technique, they will gradually progress onto more advanced pointe exercises and combinations.
Safety and correct technique are at the heart of this class, with a strong emphasis on developing strength, control and artistry to support each dancer's progression onto pointe.
