About Ballet - Junior +
8 - 12yrs
Ballet builds upon the foundations established in Grade 1, further developing classical ballet technique, strength, and musicality.
Dancers will refine posture, alignment, coordination, and control while expanding their ballet vocabulary through structured barre and centre work. Class content follows the Grade 2 syllabus and includes more complex steps, balances, jumps, and travelling movements, with increased emphasis on clarity of technique, rhythm, and expressive performance. Flexibility, strength, and confidence are developed progressively throughout the year. Students will prepare for and participate in a yearly Grade 2 Ballet examination, demonstrating technical accuracy, musical awareness, and performance quality in line with syllabus requirements
