About Young Linguists Club

Welcome to Young Linguists Club! Join me in one of our fun and engaging French and Spanish clubs designed especially for primary-aged children 5 to 11! I am fully trained, insured, hold an enhanced DBS, plus have up-to-date safeguarding training. I will also be able to provide a letter of assurance before starting classes.

I am Sylvia, a passionate linguist speaking fluent French, Spanish and English. I spent most of my childhood in the South of France growing up in a bilingual household, I also learnt Spanish at secondary school and fell in love with the language and culture of Spain following a memorable trip to Salamanca! When I moved to England at the age of 16, I did my A Levels and then went on to obtain a BA Hons Degree in French, Spanish and European Studies at Bristol UWE. I have family in both France and Spain and visit both countries every year.

My sessions use the award-winning La Jolie Ronde programme – trusted by parents and schools for over 40 years – to provide children with strong foundations for future language learning while supporting the primary curriculum. Each session is lively, interactive and carefully tailored to suit primary learners. Through games, songs, storytelling, role-play and engaging activities, children build confidence and develop a genuine love of languages in a relaxed and supportive environment.
