A hypnobirthing, yoga teaching mum of 2 boys.
Yoga has been a big part of my life for about 10 years. I found when I practised regularly I was better able to regulate my emotions and handle stressful situations.
Fast forward to late 2019 when I found out I was pregnant with my first child. I was full of all the usual excited nervousness. Then, when I was 6 months pregnant, March 2020, we went into Lockdown.
I was scared and confused and all the usual resources such as NCT classes were non-existent.
I had wanted to birth in a birth centre and when I was told it was closed I went into a tailspin. I was completely out of control and it terrified me.
I started looking for something, anything that would help me handle these emotions. I found hypnobirthing and it gave me so much more...
It resonated with what I already knew from my yoga practice, the importance and the power of the mind/body connection. I found a new confidence in my body as I understood the physiological journey of laour and birth.
Birth doesn't have to be scary. Yoga and hypnobirthing helped me and my baby have a wonderful birth experience and it can do the same for you.
