About The Little Fidget Theatre Company

Mel Osborne is an actor and storyteller based in Stoke-on-Trent. As well as a degree in Media studies, she also holds a diploma in social work and has a background in mental health. She is now a drama teacher, writer, and performer.

Mel believes children learn best when they are engaged in an activity and uses immersive theatre to tell stories and build children’s social and emotional understanding. Mel is a gentle practitioner and never forces children to partake in anything they feel uncomfortable with.

Mel has two neuro-diverse children, one who is currently home-educated so understands that children come with a range of needs. She is experienced particularly in teaching children with SEN needs. She has a wealth of experience with children having run children’s football leagues and working as a chaperone, supporting many a young person to have a positive stage experience.
