Meet our teachers at Sing and Sign Exeter and East Devon:
About Mags……..
Class Teacher at All Saint's Church, Sidmouth (Wednesdays) & Honiton Family Church (Thursdays)
Having experienced Sing and Sign with her own two children, Mags jumped at the opportunity to share her love of signing with others.
During the last few years, Mags went back to Uni to study, completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Early Years, which resulted in her gaining her Early Years Teacher Status.
Throughout her studies she was drawn to the importance of attachment and communication in those formative early years and through this it became clear that one of the best ways to promote this was through Sing and Sign, and she hasn’t looked back since!
Now entering her third year as a Sing and Sign teacher, Mags continues to share the joy of Sing and Sign with her classes. Sing and Sign has been such an important part of parents lives especially in the last year, as not only is it an opportunity to learn new signs in a fun, relaxed environment, it has also proven to be a special opportunity to meet others and socialise, not just for the parents but for their babies.

About Natalie.......
Class Teacher at The Baby Room, Ladysmith’s Infant School, Exeter (Tuesdays and Fridays) St Sidwell's Centre, Exeter (Wednesdays)
Natalie initially started bringing her daughter to Sing and Sign classes four years ago. As a trained schoolteacher, she was struck by how focused and engaged she was, even at five months. Constantly learning new signs and vocabulary she loved her classes, so much so that even to this day she sings along to all the songs, Jessie Cat by her side!
Natalie was so impressed by Sing & Sign she decided to become a teacher and hasn’t looked back since; Natalie now runs Sing and Sign Exeter and East Devon.
Natalie would love for as many families as possible to experience the benefits Sing and Sign has to offer. It helps enhance the lasting bond between parents and their babies & provides a safe environment to learn, make new friends and enjoy magical moments during those precious formative years.
Our babies are capable of so much, let them show you!

About Bethany……..
Class Teacher at Trefoil Lodge, Exeter (Mondays)
Bethany has been a passionate advocate of Sing and Sign ever since the first class she attended with her daughter five years ago. Now that both her children have benefited from signing and fallen in love with Jessie Cat, she is excited to be able to teach others the songs and signs which have become such an important part of her family life.
Bethany has experienced signing in various settings throughout her life. Her younger brother used Makaton a lot early in his schooling. Through that and working as a teaching assistant with children with speech and language difficulties, Bethany has developed a keen interest in speech development. Bethany was a music and chapel choir scholar during her time at Exeter University, and also directs a community choir for mums with young children. She is very active in the music group at her church, where she sometimes signs the songs as well.
Above all, Bethany is passionate about improving the mental wellbeing of parents and families. Sing and Sign does this through music, and by reducing frustration and promoting early two way communication between parent and child. What an amazing way to connect all the things she loves to do!
