Hello, I am Stacey,
I’m very excited to be delivering Phonics with Robot Reg classes across Bracknell and the surrounding area.
So, a little about me. I hold a BA in Drama and Physical Theatre. I later under took a PgDip in Nursing. After a 12 year career as a nurse I craved flexibility to spend time with my two young daughters … and a new adventure.
Both my girls attended Phonics with Robot Reg classes and it was a delight to watch as their confidence and literacy skills flourished. I have always been passionate about early years development and so it felt like a natural progression to become a part of the Phonics with Robot Reg team.
A little bit about the classes...
The MINIS class for ages 1 - 2.5 years old explores sounds and rhymes to develop and enhance speaking and listening skills. It also hosts activities to improve fine and gross motor skills. The MINIS classes are carefully designed – in conjunction with a speech therapist – so each child develops an understanding of language and speech development. The class is a perfect introduction to phonics as class sizes are kept small to allow teacher/child interaction and give every child the opportunity to take part and succeed.
The PRESCHOOL class for ages 2.5 - 4 years old includes games and activities that teach sound recognition, alliteration and oral blending and segmenting. These are the necessary foundations for reading and writing. This high energy class also includes activities to improve gross and fine motor skills which support a child’s handwriting.
