About Meopham Mini Artists
Welcome to Meopham Mini Artists!
Meopham Mini Artists is a small, independent business, owned by myself, Catherine, since 2018. Its aim is to offer opportunities for children and adults of all ages to gain skills and knowledge through practical activities. Classes are designed to be fun and engaging, and to build confidence in themselves. All classes are based in Kent and run by myself.

A bit about me!
I'm Catherine, mum of two, and part time teacher with over 27 years teaching experience, teaching mainly Art, and also other subjects. I have experience teaching in all key stages and SEN education. My qualifications are BA Hons: Fine Art, PGCE: Art and Design (secondary), and MA: Education. I regularly practice my own art at home, and create art with my own children (both primary school aged). I currently work part time in a SEN school, and on my days off I run Meopham Mini Artists. I am passionate about teaching, and in particular the benefits of practical activities for children's learning and development.
My Mission
My classes, workshops, lessons and private parties are Art based, but they are not just about Art. They are about play, learning, exploring, experimenting, creativity, imagination and social interaction.
Children in my classes are happy, curious and confident to explore, take risks and try something new! They create pieces of work to be proud of and grow in confidence and skills week on week. Parents and carers get quality time with their children, as well as the social aspect that comes with every Meopham Mini Artists session! The free tea/coffee and biscuits definitely help!
Adults in my adult classes are given the skills and confidence to try new art forms, explore art and craft materials, get creative and have an enormous amount of fun! The satisfaction and pride that comes with taking home a fabulous piece of art they have created is second to none.
Terms and Conditions
Once paid, refunds or transfers cannot be given for illness, holidays, or any other reason. If you absolutely must cancel please contact me 24 hours or more before the start of the session, and depending on whether I can fill your space, I may be able to offer a transfer. Customers cannot gift or sell their ticket to a friend or anyone else. All customers are required to book their spaces through Pebble in the usual way. There is a waiting list for each class and any spaces that become available will be offered to those on the waiting list.
As a parent/carer, you are wholly responsible for your child's behaviour and safety whilst in the session. Please also be aware of the safety of others, and eat snacks at the side of the class rather than at the trays or tables, as some children have allergies to some ingredients. Please do not bring anything containing nuts to the class. Please be aware that the kitchen at which some activities are prepared, contain all ingredients, and therefore cross contamination is always possible.
Please declare any allergies or other medical conditions, during the booking process.
Please dress your child in old clothes and bring a change of clothing. Meopham Mini Artists takes no responsibility for clothing which may get stained, marked or damaged during a class.
