Welcome to Meopham Mini Artists!

Meopham Mini Artists is a small, independent business, owned by myself, Catherine, since 2018. Its aim is to offer opportunities for children and adults to gain skills and knowledge through practical learning activities. Classes are designed to be fun and engaging, and to build confidence. All classes are based in Kent and run by myself.

A bit about me!

I'm Catherine, mum of two, and part time teacher. I have a wealth of teaching experience having taught in both mainstream and SEN education. I began my teaching career in 1998. I have taught a range of different subjects, and I have experience teaching in all key stages. My qualifications are as follows:

BA Hons: Fine Art

PGCE: Art and Design

MA: Education

I still teach part time in a local SEN school, and on my days off I run Meopham Mini Artists. I am passionate about teaching, and in particular the benefits of hands on learning activities. I have been running home education classes for several years and I home educate my own children. My home education classes are aimed at primary children, however this is flexible, and a few secondary aged children do also attend.

My Mission

My classes are about learning, exploring, experimenting, creativity, imagination and social interaction.

Children in my classes are encouraged to be curious and confident to explore, take risks and try something new! They create work to be proud of, and they grow in confidence, skills and knowledge each week. Children develop friendships and enjoy the social aspect that group learning brings.

Terms and Conditions

Once paid, refunds or transfers cannot be given for illness, holidays, or any other reason. If you absolutely must cancel please contact me 24 hours or more before the start of the session, and depending on whether I can fill your space, I may be able to offer a transfer. A ticket can only be transferred once. Customers cannot gift or sell their ticket to a friend or anyone else. All customers are required to book their spaces through Pebble in the usual way. There is a waiting list for each class and any spaces that become available will be offered to those on the waiting list.

As a parent/carer, you are wholly responsible for your child's behaviour and safety whilst in the session. Please also be aware of the safety of others, and eat snacks at the side of the class rather than at the trays or tables, as some children have allergies to some ingredients. Please do not bring anything containing nuts to the class. Please be aware that the kitchen at which some activities are prepared, contain all ingredients, and therefore cross contamination is always possible.

Please declare any allergies or other medical conditions, during the booking process.

Please dress your child in old clothes and bring a change of clothing. Meopham Mini Artists takes no responsibility for clothing which may get stained, marked or damaged during a class.
