About JD Dance School
JD Dance School is a friendly, welcoming dance school based in Chelmsford, Essex, helping children, young people and adults build confidence, learn new skills and fall in love with performing- whatever their age or ability.
We offer Ballroom & Latin, Street Dance and Contemporary, alongside dedicated Toddler Dance & Music sessions for our very youngest movers. Classes run from 18 months right through to adulthood, so once you've found your home at JD Dance, there's always a next step to grow into.
Toddler Dance & Music- 18 months to 4 years
Children & Young People- Ballroom & Latin, Street, Contemporary, from age 5
Adults — Ballroom & Latin, Street, Contemporary, all abilities welcome

Beyond the weekly class, JD Dance opens the door to experiences you won't find everywhere: summer workshops and holiday camps, structured termly blocks, guest workshops with Strictly Come Dancing stars and industry professionals, dance exams, competition attendance, and performances on stages across London and Essex. We're also proud to be working towards an ambitious trip for our dancers to perform in America- including the aspiration of a slot at an NFL half-time show.
