About Girlz Academy

We are an independently run girls only football development centre for girls aged 6 to 14 years old. Our centre has been designed to improve individual skills, technical abilities and ball mastery in an environment tailored for their development and to unlock hidden potential.

Our core focus is to give girls a platform where they can grow as players in an environment that is tailored to suit them. Our Friday night development centre gives girls that platform by running topic specific sessions across a set term allowing each girl to progress at a rate they are comfortable with, whilst ensuring they are being tested to the best of their abilities. We then encourage all the girls to take what they are learning and put it into practice with their own respective clubs or advise them to join a club when they are ready to take that next step. Our 'Terms' are then signed off with a matches week so we may assess each girls progression and hand out a 'Player of the Term' award before starting all over again with the next termly topic. We also like to throw in some fun days throughout the year for holidays and celebrations with our coaches joining in and enjoying a bit of fancy dress.

We also run school girls football clubs in local schools using our core focus to introduce girls to the sport and allow them to develop in a safe and fun environment along with their school friends. Our after school sessions are designed to be fun and inclusive for all the girls in attendance.

Along with our development centre and school clubs, we also offer girls only football camps during the holidays. Here, we take our core focus and add more fun, friendships and football to ensure your daughter has a great day regardless of their abilities. The girls are challenged throughout the day to win points for their teams and become the 'Team of the Day' by competing in sport inspired football activities. Each team is then given the chance to lift the World Cup in our end of day tournament. (OK it's not the real World Cup but it is a nice replica). Our days are then signed off with a little ceremony before sending the girls home with smiles on their faces and looking forward to our next camp.
