About A Little Dramatic
A Little Dramatic Drama classes are fantastic if you:
⭐️ Have a child who is a little shy and needs a gentle nudge into the spotlight.
⭐️ Have a child who needs an opportunity to let off steam and have loads of fun.
⭐️ Have a child who needs practice cooperating with their peers.
Our classes are full of fun and role play adventure in a way that allows your children to feel confident in giving their ideas and working with a whole group of children! In our classes the parents sit back and the children follow along with the themed adventure. Some weeks we’re police officers solving a mystery, other week’s were under the sea swimming with dolphins, we may be train drivers, superheroes, or even animals, but whatever we are, we’re having fun and working together! We aren’t working towards a ‘show’ - our fun lies in the adventure, not the destination!
Our classes always start with a game, and then we bring in Dave the Dramatic Dragon for our vocal and physical warm ups! Children will notice our structure is familiar and safe, which is particularly important for those with any special needs, but also great for all children as it helps them understand the boundaries and feel secure to take risks as they become more confident. The themes change throughout the year and no two classes are the same, which will appeal to their thrill seeking nature!
Who are we?
🎭 Deborah is a qualified Drama teacher who has taught Drama in primary and secondary schools for nearly twenty years now! She has worked with National Drama as their Primary Drama Officer, organising conferences and CPD opportunities for Drama teachers across the UK, and she developed Drama classes for Oak National Academy during the pandemic. She developed A Little Dramatic after her second child was born, and now teaches predominantly in preschools and nurseries, and sometimes teaches in the community classes.
🎭 Sara is our main class teacher for the community classes, and has worked with EYFS for a number of years as a childminder. She loves learning through play and is simply excellent with your young children. Her understanding of how to nurture puts her in a great position to lead your children in the Dramatic adventures each week, her greatest passion is watching children grow in confidence!
