Toddler and Early Years STEM sessions are packed with fun, exploration and discovery. Young children are naturally curious, and STEM and STEAM activities nurture that curiosity beautifully.
I began running these sessions 11 years ago, originally to entertain my middle child when he was nine months old. Since then, they have grown into a well‑established programme that has featured on BBC Tiny Happy People, BBC Radio, BBC Breakfast, Early Years TV, and in both local newspapers and national early‑years magazines.
I also write regularly for Nursery World, sharing playful, accessible STEM ideas with practitioners across the sector.
In May 2023, the sessions were nominated for STEM Initiative of the Year at the Cambridge Science and Technology Awards. I am a STEM Ambassador Silver Badge holder, recognised for my contribution to promoting STEM learning in the early years.
My sessions have welcomed Kemi Badenoch MP, and since 2020 I have received personal correspondence from HRH The Princess of Wales, recognising my work with young children and families.
In June 2026, I was invited to the House of Lords for the Digital Creators Reception, recognising my work in Early Years STEM and my contribution to the UK creator community.
I have delivered sessions at the Cambridge Science Centre, Saffron Walden Museum, local primary schools and nurseries, and have run Toddler STEM workshops across the country. I am also a BBC STEM Contributor, supporting families and practitioners with simple, hands‑on science ideas.
My book 50 Fantastic Ideas for STEM Activities, published by Bloomsbury, is available through Amazon and major bookshops. It won the Learning Resources 0–3 Award at the Creative Play Awards in November 2025.
