GCSE English Programme (Years 10 &amp; 11)Our GCSE English Programme prepares students in Years 10 and 11 for success in both English Language and English Literature GCSEs. Developed by qualified English teachers, the course follows the Key Stage 4 National Curriculum and supports all major GCSE examination boards.English Language: Students study fiction and non-fiction texts, exploring language, structure, themes, characterisation, purpose and audience. They develop skills in text analysis, comparison, annotation and writing for different audiences and purposes, including creative and transactional writing. Additional focus is given to spelling, punctuation, grammar, speaking and listening.English Literature: Students study Shakespeare, post-1914 drama, 19th-century prose and poetry, developing analytical, interpretative and essay-writing skills.
