About Ride on Time and Makaton communication play session
1 - 5yrs
This inclusive play session is designed to support families, carers and children to develop their communication skills through play and multi- sensory stories. Sessions will provide a range of semi- structured vehicle related activities designed to promote social interaction, play and communication skills. Makaton alongside other AAC will be used throughout to ensure inclusive communication whatever your child's needs, abilities and interaction style. We also want to provide the grown ups with some much needed time to connect with other like minded people over a cuppa and the occasional cake too!
Both myself and Kristie have years of experience of supporting neurodivergent children and young people in Educational Psychology and Speech and Language Therapy respectively. Kristie is a tutor for the Makaton charity and Hannah is trained to level 4 Makaton.
