About BCAB Paddlesport Instructor course
14 - 18yrs+
This combined training and assessment course will enable you to run games and activities to support learning and inspire adventure and exploration for new paddlers in stable craft. This is the qualification used by outdoor centres and clubs to support their activity delivery.
Age - 14yrs+
Ratio - 1:6
Craft - Canoe, Kayak, Paddleboard or Sit on top
Pre-requisites:
-Paddlesport Safety & Rescue course
-Explore award (or equivalent paddling ability in your chosen craft)
-PUK membership
-PUK course registration
Course content:
-Kitting up a group and getting afloat
-Activities and games to support learning
-How to use mini journeys to promote exploration of the environment
-Keeping your group safe

What's not included:
-Paddle UK (British canoeing) membership
