About Autumn Term Scratch with Andy

Our Scratch pathway introduces children aged 8–11 to block-based coding through creativity, storytelling and game design. Using the Scratch platform, they snap together colourful code blocks to animate characters, build games and create interactive stories — developing sequencing, logic and problem-solving in a fun, visual way.
Across four levels — Beginner, Intermediate, Experienced and Pro — we guide each child from first steps to advanced projects:
Beginner 1 & 2: Mazes, puzzles and stories with movement, costume changes and simple logic.
Intermediate: Variables, broadcasts, timed animations and responsive designs.
Experienced: Complex games with cloning, sensing and visual effects.
Pro: Multi-level projects with collision detection, gravity and advanced techniques.
At every stage, children grow in confidence, creativity and digital skills.
