We're joining forces with Wigan & Leigh Archives this summer for an exciting series of workshops to bring local history to life through technology- exploring the past in creative and interactive ways. Dive into history like never before-build, animate, and game your way through Wigan & Leigh’s rich heritage!
Choose one or all of the below sessions- Workshops run at 10am or 1pm, please select your preferred time
Tues 21st July: Rebuilding the past.
Explore the slum housing of the past in Minecraft, demolish and rebuild a better alternative!
Tues 28th July: Strike to Animate!
Discover the struggle of being a Miner, and recreate their protests with digital amination!
Tues 4th Aug: Arcade across the world.
See the world through the eyes of a Victorian traveller and develop your own retro style video game.
Tues 11th Aug: Powering the Revolution
Find out how the Industrial Revolution shaped our area and build your own LEGO Steam Engine

All equipment will be provided, as well as drinks and a healthy snack. Parents will be invited in at the end of the session, to see your child's work.
